From Manhattan:
Take Tramway Car at 59th Street & Second Avenue Station.(Travel time is 4-5 minutes.) Exit at Tramway Station on Roosevelt Island.

Sunday - Thursday    : 6:00 AM to 2:00 AM
Friday & Saturday     : 6:00 AM to 3:30 AM

Morning Rush Hours (M - F)  : 7:00 AM - 9:30 AM 
Evening Rush Hours (M - F)  : 3:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Non-Rush Hour Service runs every 15 minutes
Rush Hour Service runs every 7 1/2 Minutes

MTA Metrocards are accepted ("We follow to same fare structure as the MTA")

Up to three (3) children 44 inches tall and under ride for free on the Tram when accompanied by a fare paying adult.

Children over 44 inches tall require full fare

$1.10 Seniors (with MTA Metrocard)

For Large Groups: All groups larger than 25 must purchase a permit to ride the tram. To purchase a permit, please call 212-572-9828. Groups less than 25 people can purchase the full round-trip fare on the Tramway Plaza platform. The Tramway does not accept MTA Courtesy Cards.
