Macy’s Fireworks Over the River
Of course, they are the main event on the night of July 4th. Watch the nation’s most amazing pyrotechnics show with the concept, music and design curated for the first time by an outsource- Usher. They will launch from 6 barges over the Hudson. There will be various places to watch the display which spans from West 24th to West 50th Streets. A few of the best views for a price are from the Intrepid, Sea, Air, and Space Museum, the Empire State Building, and the Hudson Terrace. Or, watch from the street for free.

Statue of Liberty Reopening
The famous National Monument has been closed since it was damaged in Hurricane Sandy. Witness its reopening on July 4th! It’s been closed for 8 months so this is a special day that will make New York City truly whole again. Plan a visit during this vacation to appreciate what the statue really stands for.
The Statue of Liberty can be seen from afar from many places in the city, and even on one of the fantastic NYC sightseeing cruises! 4th of July is a great time to hop aboard one of these cruises to see Lady Liberty and the rest of the beautiful Manhattan skyline. For an extra special trip this holiday weekend though, book one of the July 4th Fireworks Cruises. Circleline Sightseeing is offering a chance to enjoy the Macy’s 4th of July fireworks spectacular aboard one of their fun vessels that will host a live DJ with dancing.

Classic Harbor Line is also hosting 4th of July Fireworks cruises aboard the Schooner America 2.0, Schooner Adirondack and the Yacht Manhattan. A complimentary open bar, hors d’oeuvres, and fantastic skyline views make these cruises a fantastic choice for an unforgettable evening.
